Pumpkin patches and Halloween events near Fort Worth: the 2026 guide

The pumpkin patches worth the drive from Fort Worth this fall, and the Halloween events that work for toddlers through teens, with 2026 dates and prices.

The short answer: Two good full day pumpkin patches near Fort Worth this fall are Ruby Creek Family Farm in Aurora (October 2 to November 8, $15) and Clark Gardens in Weatherford (October 2 to 31). For Halloween, Boo at the Zoo runs October 23 to 25 at the Fort Worth Zoo and is included with regular admission. Halloween 2026 falls on a Saturday.

I put this together for anyone planning October with kids around Fort Worth. We have a toddler at home, so I paid attention to hours, prices, and whether a place works for little ones. Every date and price below came from the venue or a local guide, and they are listed at the bottom. Farms change hours with the weather, so check before you load up the car.

Pumpkin patches near Fort Worth

Ruby Creek Family Farm, Aurora

  • Where: 390 Oates Creek Road, Aurora, about 30 minutes northwest of Fort Worth
  • Dates: October 2 to November 8, 2026
  • Hours: Fridays 10am to 3pm, Saturdays 10am to 7pm, Sundays 11am to 6pm
  • Cost: $15, kids under 2 free, $3 per person for the longhorn hayride, free parking
  • What's there: pumpkin patch, corn maze, farm animals, a fishing pond, a two story sand pile, and live music

The flat $15 covers almost everything on the farm, which makes it easier to budget if you are bringing more than one kid. It is only open Friday through Sunday.

Clark Gardens Pumpkin Patch, Weatherford

  • Where: Clark Gardens Botanical Park, 567 Maddux Road, Weatherford
  • Dates: October 2 to 31, 2026
  • Hours: during garden hours (the event page lists 9am to 5pm)
  • Cost: general garden admission, last posted at $10 adults, $8 seniors 65 and up, $5 kids 4 to 12, free for 3 and under. Pumpkins and some activities cost extra.
  • Good to know: reciprocal and complimentary passes are not accepted on October weekends

This is a botanical garden first, so it is the calmer option. It is a good pick if you want fall pictures more than rides.

Hall's Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze, Grapevine

  • Where: 3420 Hall Johnson Road, Grapevine
  • Dates: October 2 to November 1, 2026
  • Hours: Wednesday and Thursday 3 to 8pm, Friday 3 to 9pm, Saturday 10am to 9pm, Sunday 1 to 8pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday, except Columbus Day, October 12.
  • Cost: $15 adults and teens, $10 kids 4 to 11, under 4 free. Cash only.
  • What's there: a two acre corn maze, hayrides, farm animals, and pumpkins still on the vine

Bring cash. Weekday hours start at 3, so this is an after school or Saturday trip.

Pumpkin Nights, Arlington

  • Where: Howell Farms, 4016 W. Division Street, Arlington
  • Dates: through October 31, 2026. Closed October 5 and 6.
  • Hours in October: 6 to 9pm weekdays, 6 to 9:30pm weekends, with timed entry every 30 minutes
  • Cost: adults 13 and up $20 to $26 through October 1, then $24 to $38. Kids 4 to 12 are $13 to $19, then $16 to $28. Kids 3 and under free. Parking is $10.
  • What's there: a half mile evening trail through more than 10,000 hand carved pumpkins, plus fire shows and food

This is an evening walk, not a patch. If you know you want to go, buying before October 1 saves a few dollars a ticket.

Is there a pumpkin patch in Fort Worth itself?

Not much of one. The full patches with corn mazes are all a drive. Inside the city, the closest thing is the pumpkin patch at Boo at the Zoo, October 23 to 25. Churches around town sometimes run small patches in October, but I did not find any 2026 dates when I wrote this.

Halloween events for kids around Fort Worth

Boo at the Zoo, Fort Worth Zoo

  • Where: 1989 Colonial Parkway
  • Dates: Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25, 2026, 10am to 5pm
  • Cost: included with zoo admission. That is $22 for ages 13 to 64, $18 for kids 3 to 12 and seniors 65 and up, and free under 3. Parking is $5.
  • What's there: treat stations, a pumpkin patch, stage shows, and costumed characters walking around. Each ticket comes with six treat coupons, and more are $5 for six. The train and carousel cost extra.
  • Good to know: anyone 13 or older has to keep their face visible, so no full masks for teens or adults

The zoo's half price Wednesday does not help here, since Boo at the Zoo runs Friday through Sunday.

Enchanted Garden, Fort Worth Botanic Garden

  • Where: 3220 Botanic Garden Boulevard
  • Dates: September 12 to November 30, 2026
  • Hours in October: 8am to 5pm daily, last tickets at 4pm
  • Cost: included with garden admission, $14 to $15 adults, $8 to $9 kids 3 to 15, free for 2 and under
  • What's there: twelve life size sculptures of fairies, unicorns and wizards set through the Fuller Garden

It is not spooky at all, which is sometimes the point with a two year old.

Tricks and Treats at Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington

Six Flags runs its kid friendly Halloween event during the day on weekends through November 1, separate from Fright Fest at night. Expect a trick or treat trail, a hay maze, pumpkin and mask decorating, costume contests and character dance parties. The park recommends taking kids 12 and under home before 6pm, when the scare zones start, and guests 11 and older cannot wear costumes or masks. Check sixflags.com for the exact days before you buy.

Treat Street at the Fort Worth Stockyards

Last year the Stockyards ran Treat Street on Halloween evening, 5 to 7pm, with trick or treating for kids 12 and under, hayrides and face painting. The 2026 date was not posted when I wrote this. I will update this page when it is.

For older kids and teens

  • Batman (1989) in Concert, October 24. The Fort Worth Symphony plays Danny Elfman's score live while the full movie runs, at Will Rogers Auditorium. The film is rated PG-13.
  • Here Lyeth, at the Amon Carter. An exhibition of grave rubbings by Ann Parker and Avon Neal, on view through November 8. Admission to the Carter is always free.
  • Pumpkin Nights, above, is also a good one for this age since it runs after dark.

Halloween is on a Saturday this year

October 31, 2026, is a Saturday, so the daytime events and trick or treating land on the same day. If you are trying to do both, pick one big thing and keep the rest of the day simple.
